Principal, William "Bill" Rodney, has in excess of twenty years of business experience in real estate and marketing, including Investment Property Brokerage, Commercial Banking, and as an Owner/Operator of multi-unit apartment buildings. During his 10+ years as a professional real estate broker he has closed scores of sales transactions approaching $200 Million in value. In addition to being an Illinois licensed real estate broker, he holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He is also a registered Securities Representative with Broker Dealer Welton Street Investments and holds the Series 63 and 22 registrations.
Angela Roberts has over ten years of administrative experience. She joined IPA in December of 2004 and has recently earned her Real Estate Salesperson License. After some extensive training, Angela has taken a greater role in the Sales Division of IPA. In performing in these dual roles, Angela is able to better assist the clients of IPA.
Gertrude Wooten joins IPA as a Senior Associate and brings to the firm a set of experiences which make her uniquely qualified to provide exceptional service to our clients and customers. A former (retired) IRS, Revenue Agent, she has first hand experience as a successful owner-operator of numerous multi-unit apartment buildings on Chicago’s Southside. As an accredited investor she has personally completed 1031 exchange transactions and added tenancy-in-common securitized real estate holdings to her portfolio. Her personal passions include membership in several golf leagues and numerous non-profit community service organizations, which focus on outreach to many of the underserved in various communities. Ms. Wooten earned her undergraduate degree (BS/BA) at Chicago’s Roosevelt University specializing in Accounting and has attended DePaul University’s graduate taxation program. She will work closely with the managing broker on all facets of the firm’s sales operations.
James Allen brings a vast array of experience to the IPA platform. Involved in sales for nearly 10 years with Fortune and Global 500 companies such as 3M and Aventis Pharmaceuticals, James brings a unique set of skills and experience to IPA. Most recently, James broke into the Multi-family market by closing several transactions throughout the southside, including operational and condo conversion projects. In his previous position with Marcus & Millichap, he has learned to effectively utilize technologies, information, and market knowledge to help his clients make informed and positive Real Estate decisions. Since graduating cum laude from Norfolk State University with a degree in Marketing, James has utilized an ability to communicate with disparate parties to reach amicable solutions and get deals done. James has learned to utilize tools and resources to best meet his client’s needs.
